Asia’s largest book fair attracts 300, 000 visitors annually. This year will mark the 26th year of the exhibition. The event will run from August 21-25 at the New China International Exhibition Center. Carrying the theme “far beyond printed words”, BIBF is expected to showcase the latest trends in publishing and book marketing, digital innovations, interactive media, artificial intelligence, and data systems. The BIBF will also feature booths catering to the protection of copyright, copyright trade, and other similar interests.

2019 Frankfurt International Book Fair

The Frankfurt International Book Fair is the world’s largest book exhibition in terms of participating countries and number of organizations attending the yearly event.  More than 280,000 participants from more than 100 countries gather at the famous Frankfurt Trade Fair Grounds. Because it is also the world’s oldest book fair event, prestigious publishing houses such as Penguin, Crown, Delacorte, Morrow, Putnam, and Simon&Schuster will be attending as well.

The Frankfurt International Book Fair will run from October 16 to 20.

2019 Sharjah International Book Fair

Sharjah International Book Fair is the most important literary event in the Arab-speaking world. From October 31 to November 10, more than 400 seminars, workshops, forums, and other activities will take place during the 11-day exhibition. The United Arab Emirate’s Sharjah Expo Center will host the 37th Sharjah International Book Fair. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi is expected to grace the occasion with his presence. Aside from being famous as the longest annual book fair, SIBF is also known for its Annual SIBF Awards with large monetary prizes.

2019 American Association of School Librarians

Once every two years, more than 10,000 school librarians gather for the annual AASL book event. The library market is a $5 billion dollar industry, attracts thousands of publishers, authors, and book retailers. This year, the annual AASL will be held on November 14-16 in Louisville, KY.

2019 National Council of Teachers of English

This year marks the 108th National Council of Teachers. It is one of the oldest book fairs in the United States. All books included in the fairs are materials for Kindergarten up to Grade 12 level. This book event is important for educators as more than 7,000 teachers, administrators, and national leaders will decide on what classroom curriculum books as well as is supplemental materials. This year the council will convene on November 22-24 at Baltimore.

2019 Miami International Book Fair              

One of the most prestigious literary events in America, the Miami Book Fair International is famous for its Street Fair. Each year, around 280, 000 participants flock to Miami Dade College, downtown Miami. It is one of the most popular book events with famous bestseller authors attending. In the past authors like Allen Ginsberg, Jerzy Kosinski Joseph Heller, Hunter, S. Thompson, and Maya Angelou have graced the event.

2019 Guadalajara International Book Fair

Originally known as Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara, GIBF was created in 1987 by the University of Guadalajara. It is held every year in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and seen as the best venue to engage the Latin American market. Guadalajara International Book Fair is the second-largest book fair next to Frankfurt International Book Fair. This year, the show will run from November 30 to December 08, 2019.
